About Us
Nepal Government in its 10th Five Year Plan (2003-2007) and Poverty
Reduction Strategy Paper emphasizes the importance of the private
sector in promoting broad based economic growth.
The Government of the Federal Republic of Germany has responded
to this priority in setting up a joint project office for its’
Private Sector Promotion (PSP) and Rural Finance Nepal (RUFIN)
Projects. Which are jointly implemented with support of the German
Technical Cooperation (GTZ) and partly for PSP the Foundation
for Economic Development and Vocational Training (SEQUA). Counterparts
are the Industrial Enterprise Development Institute (IEDI) and
the Agricultural Development Bank Ltd. (ADBL)
Through combining knowledge and resources both in the fields of private sector promotion and rural finance, a holistic and impact oriented technical assistance “facilitating economic growth for sustainable development” is provided.
Major partners include private businesses, public institutions,
business membership organisations, Agricultural Development Bank
Ltd., Sana Kishan Bikas Bank, Development Boards, Donors, NGOs
and INGOs.
